The outstanding performance for Cirencester AC last weekend came from Nick Holliday who won the over 60 age category at the Westonbirt House Easter 10k on Good Friday, finishing 14th overall out of over 700n runners in the excellent time of 41m10s. The next day he repeated the performance at the Cirencester parkrun winning his age category and finishing in the top ten overall.

Another fine effort at Westonbirt came from Tim Ingham who beat his personal best by over a minute to finish 33rd in 43m55s. He was followed home by Caroline Cotterell, 61st in 45m33s and second in her age category, Keith Firkin 70th in 46m19s and Kevin Joynes-Creed in 75m54s.

Other recent good runs were achieved by Ruth Fulford who set a new  FV70 club record of 59m01s at the 10k Calne Clock Change Challenge and James Widdowson who was 16th and third in his age category at the Pendock 5k with a time of 23m06s.

Despite the very wet conditions several club members braved the elements at the Cirencester parkrun. The race was won by former member Marc Fallows, running in Cirencester colours on this occasion. He was followed by Howard Ewan, Ian Barrett, Nick Holliday and Simon Campbell. The junior section of the club was again well represented by Sam Cook and Tom Prosser who took the top two places in the 11 to 14 age category and were inside the top twenty overall.
